What to see
Greece is an archipelago full of islands. The country consists of more than 6000 islands. But only 78 of them have more than 100 inhabitants. You could say there is a lot of undiscovered nature out there. A lot of these islands are accessible such as Crete, Corfu, the famous Santorini, and Mykonos. On the island of Crete, you find the cities and ports of Chania and Heraklion. From there, you can do excursions to the Palace of Knossos, CretAquarium, the city of Rethymno, and much more.
In Corfu, you can visit the Achilleion Palace, which was the summer residence of the Empress of Austria and Hungary Elisabeth, better known as “Sissi” and the Emperor of Germany Wilhelm II. Besides that, you have the photogenic island of Santorini. It is very beloved amongst tourists, but did you know that the island is volcanic? The beaches are usually a dark color. The last island we offer is the island of Mykonos, where lots of celebrities like to go on holiday. The nightlife of the island is very vibrant.
Another interesting place to visit is Katakolon. It is a port in West-Greece. It is so popular because the port is the gate to Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic games. Olympia is a beautiful archeological site and is a must-see when cruising to Katakolon.
Lastly, you still have the most known city in Greece: Athens. Visit the ancient Acropolis Hill, the National Garden, The Parthenon, and much more. When docking in Piraeus, you can do all our Athens tours from there.
