WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Stress-free wheelchair and scooter transfer

A disabled holiday abroad can start stressful. With our wheelchair accessible airport transfers, we aim to take this stress away by providing you with a reliable private accessible vehicle. So, from the moment you arrive, your accessible holiday can begin!

Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name on it, after you found him, he will assist with your luggage. In some European airports, the drivers are only allowed to wait a minimum amount of time. Therefore, at some airports, we will assign a dedicated meeting point.

Pre-book

We strongly recommend booking your accessible airport transfer before your travel. In most destinations, there are limited to no accessible taxis available at the general taxi ranks.

If you are traveling by yourself or with a larger group, we will arrange an adapted vehicle according to your needs. Before your trip, we need to know the dimensions of your accessible equipment and how many people you travel.

If you have outsized luggage, like a portable hoist or shower chair, we will arrange a bigger vehicle if needed. This also counts if you are traveling with multiple wheelchair users. In that case, we can schedule multiple cars. Alternatively, we can arrange accessible minivans, adapted coaches, or other types of accessible transportation.

Flight delayed?

When reserving your accessible airport transfer, we request your flight number and scheduled arrival time. Our drivers track your flight to check if there are any delays, so they can adjust their arrival time if needed.

If the delay is substantial, this may mean there are additional costs involved to cover the waiting time. This depends on the destinations, and we will inform you about these terms when confirming your reservation.

Costs

Private accessible transfer costs differ per country, per city, and vehicle. The prices are based on the total number of travelers, the total number of wheelchair or scooter users, and the amount of (outsize) luggage, as this eventually determines the vehicle size. Further, the costs depend on the length of the journey. Also, if you have an early morning or late night arrival, surcharges can be applied.

What information do we need?

Arranging an accessible private transfer takes some time as we need to verify availability and the right size vehicle per your requirements. Therefore please allow a few day’s notice. A same-day transfer can not be arranged, as this is too little time to plan accordingly.

We require at least the following details to look into your transfer request and corresponding costs:

  • Total number of travelers
  • Number of travelers passengers in wheelchair/scooter
  • Dimensions of the wheelchair or scooter (length, width, height)

Luggage:

  • how many standard sized suitcases to be transported
  • how many outsize items, as a shower chair or mobile hoist
  • Airline Name & Flight Number
  • Scheduled arrival time
  • Destination: hotel name or cruise ship

Contact us for your accessible transfer, and we will take care of the rest. All you need to think about is where you go next for your fully accessible holiday abroad!
