You will be picked up from your hotel or cruise port by your private guide and adapted transport. If you are picked up at the cruise port, you recognize your driver by the sign with your name on it. Your guide assists you to the waiting vehicle and once everyone is ready, you are good to go. Your accessible City tour Vigo starts today with a short visit of the O Berbés Market and the Rúa da Pescadería, also known as the Ruá das Ostras, to see the fish auctions and the market. There are several beautiful restaurants and bars where you can taste locally harvested oysters and freshly caught fish.
Following on, you drive to the 17th century Fortaleza del Castro to enjoy spectacular views of the city. After the fort, you continue to the Castrelos park. A stunning French-style garden, located within the grounds of a palace and built-in 1620, and recently restored to become Quiñones de Leon Municipal Museum. A lot of locals come to the park to spend some time. There are a large playground and a path for runners — a perfect way to take in the stunning views and do some people-watching.
Drive back to the Old Town for a panoramic tour, which involves some walking to enter the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Vigo. Lunch is to be enjoyed next to the Cathedral with the guide (not included). In the end, the guide will escort you back to the ferry and drop you off at the port again.
The order of the visits may differ, depending on the day. In that case, we start the tour with the visits of the Parque de Castrelos, followed by the Fortaleza del Castro. After which you continue towards the Old Town of Vigo, and the Mercado del Berbes. From here you will be guided back to the starting point with the walking/rolling portion of the tour.
