About this wheelchair accessible Gaudí tour

Colonia Guell

After a short scenic ride in an adapted vehicle through the countryside of Barcelona, you will arrive at your first stop on your wheelchair accessible Gaudí Tour: Colonia Guell. Your private guide will tell you everything about this fascinating project funded by Eusebi Guell. Eusebi wanted to create a village for his factory workers. His aim was that the people that worked for him would have access to a school, a theatre, high-quality housing, and a church. Gaudí designed the Crypt, which is the only part of the church completed. People see the Crypt as the finest piece of architectural work ever created by him. After a visit to the Crypt, there is some free time to explore the museum and village using audio phones. These have recorded information about the architecture of interest in the Colonia.

Sagrada Familia

After this, you return to Barcelona passing through the business quarter of the city, to arrive at another masterpiece of Gaudi, the world-famous Sagrada Familia. First, you can admire the beautiful outsides and four facades of the cathedral before entering. With your skip-the-line tickets, you have time to explore the inside with your private licensed guide. Enjoy the sights of the colorful pieces and architecture, and you will understand why this is the most visited landmarks within Spain. After your visit, there is time for a brief lunch (not included).

Passeig de Gracia Boulevard

Lastly, the tour passes along the majestic boulevard Passeig de Gracia. Here you see the other Gaudí works in Barcelona. These are Casa Battlo and Casa Mila. Casa Mila is better known as La Pedrera (the Quarry) because of its uneven grey stone facade, which ripples around the corner of the building. Casa Battlo is the famous Gaudi building with all its colors, shapes, and sizes. After these stops, your driver will take you back to your hotel or cruise port.

This tour is available from your accessible accommodation and from the cruise port in Barcelona.

The order of the visits may differ, depending on available entrance timeslots and traffic.
