About this wheelchair-accessible sight viewing Molde tour

Combine a city tour of Molde, with the famous look-out point of Varden. Your English-speaking driver-guide brings you to all the highlights of Molde in the adapted vehicle. You can sit back and enjoy the view while the driver brings you to the various stops, sharing local insights about the city and its surroundings.

The tour starts from the cruise port or your city center accommodation where you will meet your local driver-guide.

Molde city

While driving around the city you will see that it has an interesting road structure. It may seem hard to get around and reach the right places, however, the locals are very used to it.

Throughout the whole city, you will see a lot of nature and green. Every street has a few trees planted, making the typical city vibes less tangible.

Royal Birch

The Royal Birch means a lot to the citizens of Molde, and Norway in general. It is a symbol and memorial of the German/Nazi occupation of Norway. This is where King Haakon and Prince Olav searched for shelter from the German bombers during World War II.

Aker Stadion

During this tour, you will also pass the Aker Stadion. It is a football stadium built in the nineties, located on Moldefjors’s riverfront. The impressive part is that it was constructed within only one year.

As the Stadion is located on the coast, it offers beautiful views and reflections of light. The surroundings of the Aker Stadion are known to be fascinating for a short walk.

Varden lookout point

At the Varden lookout point, there is time for a photo stop to take in the amazing nature and area. Here you will have a view over the whole city and recognize the places you have passed/stopped by. When you turn around you will have a look over the water where you can see striking mountaintops and low clouds floating over the hills.

At the end of the tour, your driver takes you back to the port, or to the city center of Molde.
