Discover two of Puglia’s most charming coastal towns during this wheelchair accessible day tour from Bari. Together with your officially licensed guide and private adapted transportation, you will explore the whitewashed streets, sea views, and authentic atmosphere that make this region so special.
Your driver and guide will meet you at the cruise port or your city center accommodation in Bari, holding a sign with your name on it. From there, you travel along the Adriatic coast towards your first destination: Polignano a Mare.
Perched above the sea, Polignano a Mare is famous for its breathtaking cliffs, hidden coves, and spectacular viewpoints. During your visit, you will enjoy a relaxed walk/roll through the historic center.
Along the way, your guide will share stories about the town’s history and traditions, including its connection to Domenico Modugno, the beloved singer of “Volare,” who was born here. You will also have time to stop for a coffee, gelato, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere of this beautiful seaside town.
Accessibility note: the route through the center is mostly flat and suitable for wheelchair users, although some areas feature traditional stone paving.
After visiting Polignano, you continue to Monopoli in your adapted vehicle. This charming harbor town is known for its relaxed ambiance and authentic Apulian character. Here you will explore the historic center, filled with elegant buildings, small piazzas, and picturesque alleyways leading towards the sea.
You can (st)roll along the old harbor, where colorful fishing boats create one of the town’s most iconic views, and admire the beautiful architecture that reflects Monopoli’s long maritime history. The compact center makes it ideal for a comfortable and enjoyable visit at a relaxed pace.
At the end of the tour, your driver and guide will accompany you back to Bari, where you will be dropped off at the cruise terminal or your city center accommodation.
