A Selection of the 5 Best Accessible Beaches on Mallorca

Mallorca has a lot of beautiful ánd accessible beaches. We decided to pick a few of the best accessible beaches, across the whole island. You will read about the facilities the beaches have to offer and show you pictures. An exciting beach day guaranteed!
1 Alcudia Beach
We are starting this list of accessible beaches with the biggest one of all, Alcudia beach. It is a 7-kilometer long beach with white sands and azure blue waters. There are a lot of things to do, see, and eat over there. You have beach bars, there are lifeguards and many restaurants. Most importantly, it is accessible for wheelchair users! Facilities
There are reserved parking spaces for wheelchair users and to get access to the beach, there is a paved surface that leads towards the coast. Once at the beach, there are a couple of things specifically adapted for wheelchair users. Like a special space only for the disabled that offers shade. You can see this area in the first picture. Furthermore, the first-aid post at the beach offers the use of amphibious chairs and there is a hoist to lift you into the chair, which is also shown on the first picture.

2 Magaluf Beach
Magaluf is one of the most popular and well-known beaches on the island. The town itself is very vibrant and has a lot of nightlife opportunities, bars, and restaurants.
Facilities
This beach offers accessible walkways to the beach and the sea. There is also support staff available if you want to go swimming in an amphibious chair. These safety zones for assisted bathing are marked with buoys. On the beach and walkways, there are ramps installed where needed.

3 Palmanova Beach
Another popular beach is the one in Palma itself, called Palmanova beach. This one is not far from Magaluf but has a very different atmosphere.
Facilities
On this beach, there are a lot of facilities for disabled visitors. Firstly, you have the amphibious crutches that are designed for use at the beach. The crutches float in water and allow the user to enjoy the water worry-free. Secondly, there are amphibious chairs for an accessible swim. This swim area is marked with buoys so you can have a swim in a quiet area. The support staff on site will help you with this. 4 San Telmo Beach
San Telmo (or Sant Elm in English) is a lovely village on the East coast of Mallorca. Behind the town, you can see the base of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. In front of the town, you will find the uninhabited island of Sa Dragonera. So lots of things to see in the neighborhood, ánd an accessible beach nearby, what more could you want for a holiday?
Facilities
This beach has a many facilities for the wheelchair user. The sanitary has an adapted shower, an accessible toilet, and a changing room. Furthermore, there are ramps and accessible walkways to smoothly get from point A to B. Going for a swim is made possible because they have amphibious chairs plus support staff on the beach. 5 Cala Millor Beach
Last but not least, we highlight the beach of Cala Millor. The area started out as a humble tanning and swimming spot but soon transformed into a bathing area for many travelers. It is actually the largest beach on the eastern coast of the island. Visitors are not disappointed when visiting this area of Mallorca. You have the sun, sea, sangria, and of course the accessible beaches!
Facilities
What does this beach offer the disabled visitor? There are walkways and ramps for easy rolling to the beach. The support staff on site gladly helps you into the amphibious chair for an accessible swim. Furthermore, there is an adapted toilet and a sunshade area! Fun fact: this beach is one of the beaches that earned ‘The Blue Flag’. The Blue Flag is an international award that is given out annually by the Foundation for Environmental Education. This award is given to beaches and marine areas as a symbol of high environmental quality and good services and safety for users. In conclusion, this is an accessible ànd high-quality beach!
