CAILOO, LIMA, TOUR ‘MODERN LIMA’. FULL DAY

In the morning, you will be picked up from the Port of Callao by the local staff for a full-day tour around Modern Lima. We will start by visiting a local market where you will have the chance to see the ingredients used to prepare the most traditional dishes of Peru.

Afterwards, you will continue to Miraflores, a perfect point to enjoy views of the bay and the Pacific Ocean and where it perfectly combines the modernity of its constructions with the legacy of ancient Peruvian like the pre-Hispanic site of Pucllana.

Afterwards, you will cross the neighborhood of San Isidro, the financial and commercial heart of the city and where the pre-Hispanic remains of Huallamarca is located.

Lunch will be provided at Huaca Pucllana restaurant, located in a fabulous setting right next to the ruins of the Huaca Pucllana, an archaeological compound built between 200 and 700 AD.

After lunch you will enjoy a half-day shopping tour through the various Craftsmen Centers of Lima where you will find the best master pieces of expert artisans. Your guide will advise you during the tour around these shops of pottery, local textiles, jewelry in gold and silver.

Finally, you will return to the port of Callao.

CAILOO, LIMA, TOUR ‘COLONIAL LIMA’. FULL DAY

In the morning, you will be picked up from the Port of Callao by the local staff for a full-day tour around Colonial Lima.

You will go downtown Lima and its most important architectural constructions from the viceroyalty period including the Government Palace.

You will visit the Cathedral of Lima that holds the remains of Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro. Explore the Santo Domingo convent that holds the remains of Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Rosa de Lima.

Afterwards you will drive to Larco Herrera Museum. Before your tour you will enjoy lunch at the Café del Museo.

This museum is a private collection that belonged to Don Rafael Larco Hoyle which is displayed in a beautiful Republican Mansion built on the foundations of a preInca temple.

In there, you will find more than 45,000 pieces of pottery and other hundreds of textiles, metals and stones; and will have exclusive access to its deposits and its famous collection of erotic pottery.

Finally, you will return to the port of Callao.

GOTHIC AND ROMAN, HALF DAY

Departing either from your hotel or cruise ship you will enter the historic center of Barcelona commencing in Plaza Nova.

Highlights include views of Roman walls, Towers, Cathedral, City Hall, Synagogue (oldest in Europe), El Calls (Jewish Quarter), Kings Palace and much more.
