About this wheelchair accessible Rhodes island Tour

Your wheelchair accessible Rhodes Island Tour starts when you meet your private licensed guide at the cruise port or your accessible accommodation. Together you explore Rhodes and all the hidden gems of this beautiful Greek island. At the end of the day, your guide will take you back to your starting point of the tour.

Lindos

Lindos is a perfect destination that you have to visit on your trip to Rhodes. It is a small village where you find the typical white buildings. Walk/Roll around the winding narrow streets and experience the panoramic view of the Acropolis of Lindos and St. Paul’s Bay.

Kallithea Thermes and Mandraki Harbor

The historical Kallithea Thermes is famous for its natural spring waters. At this site, you have some free time to relax and explore. Entrances not included.

Another highlight on this full day island tour is Mandraki harbor, which is the main harbor of Rhodes. Nearby, you also find the Ancient stadium of the temple of Apollo. The driver will stop as close by as possible, so that you get to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view.

Filerimos Hill

The next part of the tour takes you to the Filerimos hill. Here you visit the Monastery and church of our Lady of Filerimos. The church is known for housing the icon of the Virgin Mary of Filerimos. In the sanctuary, you find beautifully decorated walls with mosaic depictions of saints.

Additionally, you also visit the remains of the Ancient Acropolis of Ialysos. Ialysos is one of the three ancient cities of Rhodes Island. The other two are Camirus and Lindus. Around 407 BC, the city of Rhodes was founded when inhabitants from the three ancient towns moved to Rhodes. However, the old cities continued to exist.

Apóllona village

The next stop is Apóllona Village. You get to try the local spirit, called ‘Souma,’ at a traditional shop. Experience traditional habits and enjoy the local atmosphere. You can also try ‘Meze.’ A Greek Meze platter exists of various small snacks that complement the drinks. In the village, you also visit the church of the Holy Cross and the handmade workshop.

Fountoukli Monastery

In the village of Eleousa, you find the beautiful Fountoukli Monastery. The impressive building, covered with a dome, dates from the 14th and 15th centuries and is one of the most famous monasteries of Rhodes. A perfect ending of a wonderful island tour!

At the end of your accessible tour, your guide brings you back to your accommodation or the cruise port.
