UNESCO World Heritage
You will meet your licensed guide at a pre-set meeting point in the city center. In 1998 UNESCO declared Bordeaux a World Heritage Site, thanks to the enormous architectural treasures. Did you know that over 350 buildings have been classified as historical monuments?
This tour will allow you to discover the historic heart of Bordeaux and its architectural gems. Highlights include the Place de la Bourse, on the edge of the Garonne river, and its 18th-century facades reflected in a big water mirror!
Saint-André Cathedral
Also included today are the Grand Théâtre and Saint-André Cathedral. The Cathedral, another UNESCO Heritage Site, dates from the 12th century and is comparable to the Notre Dame in Paris in its magnificence.
