About this wheelchair accessible monumental highlights walking tour of Málaga
You meet your officially licensed English-speaking guide at the tourist information desk, at Plaza de la Marina. This is about a 20/25 min relaxing stroll from the cruise port, passing the beautiful boulevard. During this Half Day walking/rolling tour, you see the many emblematic buildings of the city, pass by the monumental highlights, the museums, see where Picasso was born, visit the beautiful accessible Cathedral, including inside visits. Let us know beforehand which sites you wish to see, and we can plan accordingly.
Meeting point
From Plaza de la Marina, you stroll to the Alcazaba Moorish Fortress for external viewing. Please note that the Alcazaba fortress is not 100% accessible, however you can still see some interesting parts of the top section using the elevator. This elevator does not work on Mondays. From the top, you enjoy a stunning view of the city of Málaga.
Monuments + Museums
Further, you see the Roman Theater, which is the oldest and best-preserved monument in the city. Another highlight is the Picasso museum, devoted to one of the most influential artists of his time. Here you have the option to have a guided tour inside the two-floor museum.
Your tour continues to the Cathedral of Málaga with its beautiful artwork. Do not forget to look up when you are inside the church. You see influences from different times coming together in an impressive display of colors. Near the cathedral you find Plaza del Obispo from where you see the Strachan street, the main street Marqués de Larios, and The Constitution Square.
