Ålesund town center

During the tour in Ålesund, you can not miss the town center. Ålesund is known as the most beautiful city in Norway, and during this tour, you will discover why. Architecture is colorful, and most buildings are surrounded by water.

When driving around the city center, you will come across many different colors and stunning reflections in the water. Your local driver guide makes sure to pass all the remarkable areas of the town center.

Aksla viewpoint

Your tour continues to the Mount Aksla viewpoint. This is one of the most famous attractions in Ålesund. From here, you have a fantastic view of the city, the beautiful islands, and the majestic mountains: the Sunnmørsalpene and the Alps of Sunnmøre.

The viewpoint has a plateau and a small café where you can sit outside in the summer and enjoy a cold drink. Take in the view and the one-of-a-kind landscape. Do not forget to bring your camera or phone on this tour so you can capture some astonishing pictures.

Alnes lighthouse

Even though it is a driver-guided tour, this stop allows you to walk/roll around and take in the fantastic view. It is a wheelchair-accessible viewpoint.

Initially, the lighthouse was built in 1853 to lead the fisher boats to the city port safely. The tower was rebuilt in 1876, and it is still in use today. It gives the stop a mix of beautiful views and history.

The site offers different kinds of scenery. You can see the water from one direction, and you encounter striking mountains and a big green field as you turn around.

Your driver-guide takes you back to the city center at the end of the tour.
