About this wheelchair accessible Highlights of Zurich tour

Our driver-guide will meet you at your hotel, and together you will explore the beauty of Zurich. Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland, also often referred to as the most expensive city globally. Famous for the luxury lifestyle, high-end shopping, and favorite Swiss chocolates.

Your local driver-guide will show you the city’s highlights during this day, including the Lindt chocolate factory. The order of the visits may differ depending on traffic and the pick-up and drop-off location.

Panoramic views

Today, you will enjoy some fantastic panoramic views over the lake and city. You can see the Swiss central Alps across the lake with good weather conditions. The entire shoreline is filled with promenades and parks. Here you find the locals jogging, enjoying the outdoors, picnicking, and (if the weather allows) swimming in the lake.

Zurich Old Town

The driver will also show you the House of Arts, the Zurich University area, the Zurich Museum, and the main pedestrian street, being the luxurious Bahnhofstrasse around the railway station.

There is time for a walk in the Old Town and some (st)rolling around. If preferred, your driver guide can also show you around from the comfort of your vehicle, as they are licensed to drive where others are not allowed to go.

Women’s Church & the Golden Coast

The Old Town is home to many impressive traditional buildings, such as the Church of St Peter, the Operahouse, the Lindenhof, and the Great Minster. Zurich’s main church, the Romanesque basilica, dominates the skyline with its twin towers built between the 11th and 13th centuries. One of the Old Town’s main highlights is the Women’s Church, with the five stained-glass windows created by Marc Chagall in 1970.

Next, your driver will show you the so-called Golden Coast of Zurich, also referred to as the ‘sunny side of Zurich’, the location of celebrity houses, such as Tina Turner and Roger Federer. Here you can see why this is considered the nicest area in Zurich.

Lindt Chocolate factory

No visit to Zurich is complete without seeing a chocolate factory. Your driver guide will take you to Meilen, from which you take the ship to Horgen Kilchberg for the famous Lindt chocolate. Entry to the Lindt store is free. The factory of Lindt has an entrance fee, pending availability, and visiting restrictions.

During the day, you can include time to try another famous Swiss delicacy: Raclette or Fondue (not included). Especially when touring in winter, this can be a nice change from the cold temperatures outside.
