This wheelchair accessible Naples city tour gives you half a day to experience what makes the city so distinctive. Naples is known for its vibrant street life, layered history, and an energy unlike any other Italian destination. Your private driver and licensed guide take care of everything, so you can focus entirely on the city.
Naples is a city deeply rooted in history, culture, and tradition. Founded by the Greeks in the 8th century BC under the name Parthenopolis, it quickly developed into an important commercial and cultural center in the ancient world. Over the centuries, different civilizations left their mark, creating the layered character the city is famous for today.
A private Naples city tour is an excellent way to explore this remarkable heritage. The historic center of Naples is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is home to more than 500 churches, historic palaces, and an extensive underground network. These underground passages reflect the city’s long and complex past and add another dimension to its unique identity.
Your private driver will meet you at your accommodation or at the cruise port and take you to Naples, where you meet your private licensed guide for the tour. The route starts in the hilltop districts of Vomero and Posillipo, where you can enjoy panoramic views over the city and the Bay of Naples, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. From here, the tour continues along Via Caracciolo toward Mergellina and the monumental area.
During the tour, you will visit some of Naples’ most iconic landmarks. Highlights include Piazza del Plebiscito, home to the Royal Palace and the Church of San Francesco di Paola, both powerful symbols of the city. You will also pass along Via Toledo, one of Naples’ most vibrant shopping streets, before reaching the elegant Galleria Umberto I.
Please note that vehicles are not permitted in certain areas of the historic center. To explore some streets, you will need to walk or roll independently, as access by vehicle is restricted.
At the end of the tour, your driver will take you back to the cruise port or to your accommodation.
Accessibility note: the city center of Naples is not flat. You may encounter cobblestones, uneven surfaces, and occasional steps. Some narrow streets can be more challenging to navigate with a wheelchair or mobility scooter due to the nature of the terrain.
