About this flexible wheelchair accessible highlights of London tour

London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom, and at the same time, the largest city in the country. This beautiful city has many impressive attractions to see. To get the most out of your time in London, we offer a flexible London Highlights tour. During this tour, you see the most important highlights of the city—all in the comfort of your accessible private vehicle. We stop at historical monuments, like Buckingham Palace and drive-by more modern attractions, such as the London Eye.

Your English-speaking driver guide meets you at your accommodation anywhere in central London, from where your tour starts. During the trip, there will be plenty of stops to take pictures while your driver-guide shares more information in the form of stories and anecdotes. This tour allows for outside visits. If you wish to include an inside visit, let us know prior so we can adjust the route and tour accordingly.

Buckingham Palace

You drive to Buckingham Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in London and one of the most visited attractions of the city. The palace has 775 rooms, is 108 meters wide, 120 meters deep, and 24 meters high. Every day 300 people are working on the premise.  Depending on tour start time, weather, and season, we plan to watch the ceremony of Changing the Guard.

Tower of London

You continue to the Tower of London, one of the oldest buildings in London. The Tower is a complex of buildings, located on the river the Thames. Over the centuries, the Tower of London has served as a fortress, royal palace, state prison, and much more. Nowadays, it is a tourist attraction where people can admire the crown jewels, weapons, harnesses, and reconstructed rooms.

Westminster Abbey

The next highlight is Westminster Abbey. It is a unique Church, which has a vital role in the lives of kings, queens, politicians, soldiers, poets, priests, heroes, and villains of the United Kingdom. Since 1066, many of the British coronations have taken place here. Did you know that Westminster Abbey is the resting place of more than 3000 famous British people? Due to its rich history, this impressive church attracts more than one million visitors each year.

House of parliament

The next stop is at the House of parliament, including the famous Big Ben. You see the St. James’s Palace, one of the oldest royal palaces of the country. And go to the St. James district, near Green Park, where this palace is located. One of the highlights on this tour is the Tower Bridge, one of London’s favorite icons, located next to the Tower of London.

You get to see Downing Street, the famous street in the city center. Downing Street is a side street of Whitehall and best known for the address ’10 Downing Street’, the residence of the British Prime Minister.

Trafalgar Square is one of the most famous squares in London, with the Nelson Column in the middle. This column is named after the battle of Trafalgar in 1805 when Horatio Nelson defeated a Spanish French fleet of Napoleon. The column is approximately 50 meters high, while the statue itself is only about 5.5 meters high.

St Paul’s Cathedral

The next highlight on your London Highlights tour is St Paul’s Cathedral. A cathedral with an impressive dome and with its height of 111 meters it is the second-largest cathedral in the world. The cathedral is located on Ludgate Hill, in the city center of London, and holds the seat of the Anglican Bishop of London.

You will take a look at Borough Market, a partially covered food market at borough Southwark. Near the market, you see Shakespeare’s Globe, a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre. The original Globe theatre was built in 1599. However, it burned down completely on June 29, 1613. Shakespeare’s Globe is built about 230 meters (750 feet) from the site of the original Globe Theatre and founded by Sam Wanamaker, who opened it to the public in 1997. Today the theatre is a world-renowned performing arts venue, as well as a cultural attraction, and education center at the London Borough of Southwark.

London Eye

You cannot miss the London Eye, the 135 meters high observation wheel of London. During the tour, there is not enough time to go into this popular attraction. However, the London Eye is entirely wheelchair accessible, so keep this in mind if you wish to visit after the tour.

At the end of the tour, your driver brings you back to your accommodation or anywhere you choose in Central London.

Extend your tour to 7 hours

In addition to the highlights you see during the three hours tour, you have the option to extend your outing. If you wish to have a feel of local life, let your guide surprise you and let him take you to some spots and side streets that are less famous and touristic, however not less of interest. Or add stops such as the British Museum, the National Gallery, ancient churches, a street food market, or Abbey Road.
