D.A.T. history
The Managing Director of D.A.T. has had multiple sclerosis since 2000. D.A.T. was born out of his observation that there seemed to be a lack of provision for the disabled who wished to travel by cruiseship and enjoy shore excursions. In depth research revealed a serious lack of acknowledgement of the right of a disabled traveller to enjoy a cruise and all that it offers, including shoreside activities such as City shore excursions, on an equal basis to the abled bodied.
The Euopean Union has calculated that there are 266 million adults registered disabled within the Community and that there is a severe lack of accessible facilities within the tourist industry in general.
Our aim is to provide an accessible service that offers accessible travel to our fellow disabled travellers.
