About this wheelchair accessible Cagliari highlights and beach tour

Your private driverguide will meet you at the cruise port or your accommodation with private adapted transport. During this Cagliari Highlights and Beach tour, you visit the city of Cagliari, the Capital of Sardinia situated in the south of the island, including a scenic drive along the coast to Villasimius. You will also spend some time at this famous beach.

The first stop will be the miraculous Bonaria Sanctuary. This religious complex consists of a small Catalan Gothic church dating back to the 14th century, and the Neoclassical Basilica, built around the 18th century.

Monte Urpini

Your Cagliari Highlights and Beach tour continues upwards to the hill of Monte Urpini, which is the highest point of Cagliari, facing the gulf of Cagliari, also known as the ‘Gulf of the Angels.’ From here, you can see the Cape that divides the two bays surrounding the city, the Devil’s Saddle, an excellent panoramic viewpoint. On the opposite side, you have views on the fortified quarter of the ‘Castello’ with its network of lanes and its monuments, preserving the Spanish footprint.

Poetto beach

After a stop on the Poetto beach and the Molentargius lagoon with its pink flamingoes, you will get to see what Sardinia is famous for: the beautiful coastal line. During a drive along the scenic road from Cagliari to Villasimius, you will get acquainted with the coasts, beaches, and cliffs with various photo stops of the crystal clear waters of the bay or Mari Pineau.

The small town of Villasimius is one of the major tourist destinations on the Island. The spectacular coastline, characterized by fine white sand, stretches for about 35 km. (round trip approximately 2.5 hours).

At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to the cruise port or your accommodation again.
