About this Figueres, Banyoles, and Besalu tour

Departing from your hotel with private adapted transport, you start your Figueres, Banyoles, and Besalu tour towards the north of Barcelona. Before arriving in Figueres, you make a stop near the charming village Banyoles, the capital of the county Pla de l’Estany, and best known for its magnificent largest natural lake where you will have the first photo opportunity.

We continue for a visit to Besalu, a magnificent example of a medieval walled town where you can admire the many constructions and facades with Romanesque, Gothic, and medieval influences. Besalú is a magical place where history is central. The first thing you see upon arrival is the symbol of Besalú. From the moment the Romanesque bridge greets you, you are drawn to other times. In and around the center, you admire the medieval city gates, and all the stone houses. Well-preserved medieval treasures such as churches, a hospital, and palaces. Strolling through the narrow streets is a real delight.

Figueres

We pursuit our way to Figueres, to explore the city with an optional visit to the Dalí Museum. This museum offers limited access for wheelchairs and scooters. Dalí is one of the most influential artists from the surrealistic trend. The museum that he made for himself in the old theater of Figueras is undoubtedly worth a visit. The museum gives you a unique insight into the eccentric life of the artist and exhibits his most famous works.

The itinerary is flexible. If you prefer to go to the beach, we can make a stop in Calella where, in the summer, the beach service offers floatable trikes. Please note, this requires a person to be able to be transferred from the wheelchair on to the trike. Let us know your preference upon booking.
