About the tour

Your English-speaking guide who is also your driver will pick you up from the cruise port. He will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it and helps you to get in the accessible vehicle. The first stop of this Accessible Pisa & Lucca Tour is Pisa, here you see the Leaning Tower.

From there you get to see the Miracle’s Square, which is submitted as UNESCO world heritage. Embrace the beauty of the monuments while you are there and soak up the rich history of the impressive buildings. Then you go to the Duomo, next to the leaning tower of Pisa. An astonishing cathedral which is one of the four monuments that make up the Miracle’s Square.

The next stop on the Miracle’s Square is the Baptistery and the Cemetery. The Baptistery is the most internationally known medieval buildings in Pisa and has a thrilling acoustic. The Cemetery is an impressive building with beautiful murals. A place that is mostly overlooked by tourists, but definitely worth a visit.

While you are there, you have some time to explore the local markets. Here you taste local delicacies and shop for souvenirs.

Lucca

Before lunch, your tour continues to Lucca. A very charming and lovely village in the Tuscany countryside. On the way there, more inland, you get an impression of the scenery of Tuscany, which is truly magnificent and will never bore!

In Lucca, you enjoy some free time to have a look around. You see the Roman Amphitheater, San Martino Church “the Duomo”, San Michele and Napoleon squares, Via Fillungo (the main street with all the shops), and the wheelchair accessible city walls. At the end of the day, your driver brings you back to the cruise port.
