The temperatures in the north can drop below -30 degrees Celsius due to the few hours of sunshine.

Finnish and Swedish are both official languages in Finland. Besides that, there is also good general knowledge of English throughout the country.

In Finland, you can pay with the Euro. Overall, Scandinavian countries are somewhat more expensive than other European destinations. However, you do get a lot in return for it. When looking at hotels and restaurants, usually, you cannot complain.
