TOP DESTINATIONS IN THE CANARY ISLANDS

What to see

The Canary Islands offer something for everyone. In Tenerife, for example, we offer an accessible tour that guides you along some of the most beautiful spots of the island. Tenerife is a very well-known and loved holiday destination for Europeans because of its all-year-round warm weather. During the tours in Tenerife, you get the chance to explore the Lagune, the Anaga Biosphere Natural Reserve, and the Teide National Park. So besides the lovely sun-drenched beaches, there is also a lot of stunning and protected nature.

Gran Canaria has the same characteristics as Tenerife. Warm golden beaches, a bit of desert and mountains, delicious Spanish tapas, and some breathtaking culture and architecture. On the tours, you see the highlights of the island, like the capital: Las Palmas. A visit to the Cathedral, local market, and Colombus house is on the agenda. Other than the capital you can visit the town of Teror, a little pilgrims’ destination. Here, the Holy Mother of Jesus, Mary, appeared on the branch of a pine tree in 1481. After the town visit, you head into nature to discover the Caldera de Bandama Crater. It is the largest volcano crater in Gran Canaria.

About the Canary Islands

The Canary Islands consist of 7 accessible main islands: Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, and El Hierro. It is fair to say that there is a lot to explore! You can dock in the ports of Gran Canaria and Tenerife if you are on a cruise. The islands are part of Spain so still part of  Europe but geographically they lay in the African continent next to Morocco.

The Canary Islands offer a variety of landscapes. These islands also have a lot of nature, wildlife areas, and water parks. You have volcanoes, miles of Sahara-like desert, pine forests, idyllic beaches, national parks, and prehistoric sites. It is also a great place for stargazing!
