A Brief History ......
The Managing Director of Disabled Accessible Travel has had multiple sclerosis since 2000. Disabled Accessible Travel was born out of his observation that there seemed to be a lack of provision for the disabled who wished to travel by cruiseship and enjoy shore excursions. In depth research revealed a serious lack of acknowledgement of the right of a disabled traveller to enjoy a cruise and all that it offers, including shoreside activities such as City shore excursions, on an equal basis to the abled bodied.
The Euopean Union has calculated that there are 266 million adults registered disabled within the Community and that there is a severe lack of accessible facilities within the tourist industry in general.
Disabled Accessible Travel has grown from offering small tours, excursions and sightseeing in Barcelona to offering services throughout Spain. Whilst the primary services of Disabled Accessible Travel remain focused on the Cruise Passenger the services offered apply across Spain wherever possible.
Disabled Accessible Travel do not discriminate against the able-bodied traveller and are happy to offer services equal to those enjoyed by our disabled guests.
Make Disabled Accessible Travel your number one choice for shoreside excursions, tours and sightseeing in Spain, Barcelona, Palma Mallorca and other ports and cities around the world.
